How we handle your email address.

Who is responsible
Vaitiq is not yet incorporated. The controller of your personal data is Tuomas Juhani Lukka, a private individual based in Finland, reachable at waitlist@vaitiq.com. When a company is founded to bring Vaitiq to market, it will take over as controller for the same purpose described here, and this notice will be updated to name it.
What we collect and why
When you join the waitlist we collect your email address, the time you confirmed, and the version of this notice you agreed to. We use them for one purpose: to email you about Vaitiq, meaning measured benchmarks, final specifications and availability.
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)). You give it by ticking the box and confirming from your inbox. Until you confirm, nothing is stored.
To limit abuse of the form, our hosting provider may keep your IP address in short-lived request logs. We do not use it to identify you. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
Who processes it for us
- Vercel Inc. (USA) hosts the site, runs the form handler in Frankfurt, and stores the confirmed list in its Blob storage.
- Resend Inc. (USA) delivers the confirmation and update emails.
- Google LLC (USA) runs the mailbox behind waitlist@vaitiq.com, so anything you send us by email, and our replies, pass through Google Workspace.
- Louhi Net Oy (Finland) supplies and administers that Google Workspace account for us as a managed service, which gives it administrator access to it.
All four act on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We share your address with nobody else and never sell it.
How long we keep it
Until you leave the list, or twelve months after Vaitiq first ships, whichever comes first. Unconfirmed signups are never stored; a confirmation link simply stops working after 48 hours.
Your rights
You can withdraw consent at any time with the link at the bottom of every email we send, or by writing to waitlist@vaitiq.com. You also have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. We answer within one month.
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman at tietosuoja.fi.
We make no automated decisions about you and do no profiling.
